Short answer

At Puri Heritage: from $2,499 for a full colour-change wrap — before HST. Across the GTA, $4,000+ is common. Chrome delete and partial wraps are quoted in-store. A wrap is fully reversible, takes two to four days, and lasts five to seven years in Ontario conditions.

What changes the price

  • Vehicle size and shape. A Corolla needs far less film than a Tahoe, and deep bumpers with complex curves take more labour than flat panels. This is the single biggest price mover.
  • Finish. Gloss and satin are the baseline. Matte, chrome, colour-shift and textured finishes like carbon fibre cost more per roll and demand more care in install — expect the quote to climb accordingly.
  • Paint condition. Vinyl locks in whatever's underneath. Failing clear coat, heavy chips or resprayed panels need correcting first, or the film won't adhere properly and the result won't last. We'll inspect and tell you honestly.
  • Film tier. Premium branded films (3M, Avery Dennison and similar) are available as upgrades for customers who want them — these are quoted in-store, never off a price list, because roll pricing and vehicle size interact.

Full wrap vs chrome delete vs partial

A full colour change is the complete transformation: every painted panel wrapped, usually with the door jambs left factory (jambs are extra, and most customers skip them). It's the move when you want a different colour without a repaint — a black car becomes satin grey, a white car becomes gloss red — for a fraction of what a quality respray costs, and it's reversible.

Chrome delete is the value play: window trim, badges, grille surround and mirror caps wrapped in black. On its own it changes the whole attitude of the car, which is why it's one of our most-booked services. It's a same-day job and it's quoted per vehicle, so get your price within the hour.

Partial wraps and accents sit in between — a roof, hood or mirror caps in a contrasting finish, racing stripes, or a blacked-out roof to fake the panoramic look. Cheaper than a full wrap, more distinctive than a chrome delete. Pricing is per panel combination, quoted in-store.

How long it takes

A full wrap takes two to four days at our shops — disassembly of trim and lights, a proper decontamination wash, the wrap itself, then reassembly and a quality pass. Shops promising a same-day full wrap are skipping steps you'll see later as lifted edges. Chrome delete is a one-day job, and most accent work is done within the day. We book same-week appointments most weeks across our three GTA shops.

How long it lasts

Five to seven years in Ontario conditions with reasonable care — hand washing, no pressure washer on edges, keeping it garaged when you can. Gloss and satin age the best. Matte and specialty finishes live on the shorter end because they show contamination faster and can't be polished out. Winter is not the enemy people assume: quality film handles salt and freeze-thaw fine as long as the edges were laid cleanly, which is a workmanship point, not a product one.

And the big reassurance: a properly installed wrap does not damage the paint. When the film eventually comes off, it's removed with heat and the factory paint underneath is preserved — in many cases better preserved than unwrapped paint, because the vinyl shielded it from UV for years. The damage stories come from wrapping over failing or resprayed paint, which we check for before quoting.

Wrap vs PPF vs a repaint

These answer different questions, and mixing them up is the most common mistake we see:

  • Vinyl wrap = looks. Changes the colour and finish, shields against UV and light abrasion. Fully reversible.
  • PPF = protection. Thicker urethane film that physically stops rock chips. Costs more — see our PPF cost guide for Brampton — and it's nearly invisible by design.
  • A repaint = permanent. More expensive than a wrap for quality work, permanent, and it shows on the vehicle's history in a way a wrap never does.

Popular combinations: wrap the car for the look, then put PPF on the front bumper and leading hood for chip protection, or add ceramic coating over the vinyl for easier washing. Our full breakdown of film vs coating: PPF vs ceramic coating.

Questions

Frequently asked

How much does a vinyl wrap cost in Brampton?

At Puri Heritage, a full colour-change wrap starts at $2,499 before 13% HST. Across the GTA, $4,000 or more is common. Chrome delete and partial wraps are quoted in-store per vehicle.

How much is a chrome delete?

Chrome delete — blacking out window trim, badges, grille and mirror caps — is quoted in-store because it depends on how much trim the vehicle has. It's a same-day job and one of the cheapest ways to change a car's look.

Does a vinyl wrap damage the paint?

No. Quality vinyl applied to paint in good condition and removed properly with heat leaves the factory paint untouched — it actually shields it from UV. Problems come from wrapping over failing or resprayed paint, which we check for first.

How long does a vinyl wrap last in Ontario?

Five to seven years with reasonable care — hand washing, no pressure washer on the edges. Matte and specialty finishes live on the shorter end.

Should I wrap my car or get PPF?

Wrap for the look, PPF for chip protection. Vinyl changes colour and shields against UV and light abrasion; PPF is thicker and stops rock chips. Many customers do both — wrap the car, PPF the front.
